Learning Tools and Resources to Truly Help Writers

Today we’re celebrating one of our newest certified coaches! Elle Fort recently received her book coach certification. To learn more about our certification program, click here.

Tell us more about your journey to book coaching.

I was already an editor and book coach, but I’m always looking to upgrade my skills to better serve my clients. I stumbled across this course, and I’m so glad to have found such an amazing community.

What was your experience in the Book Coach Certification program? What did you find most satisfying? What did you find most challenging?

A lot of coaching and editing programs make it feel like editor just tosses advice at the writer then runs away, which has never been my approach. This course is amazing and intuitive because it focuses on having the resources and the tools to teach and grow your clients' skills and confidence.

What is the most valuable advice you’re taking away from the training?

The advice that has been truly amazing for me has been to really operate where I excel (the "Zone of Genius") and to narrow my focus instead of trying to "do it all."

Tell us more about your coaching plans!

I plan to expand the coaching services that I offer to include more query work, whereas before I only worked with the book itself. I will also be updating my website to expand my coaching opportunities.

What did you do to celebrate this achievement?

I downloaded a new book!
