We ask you to pay particular attention to our Program Fee (and especially the Refund Policy), Participant Conduct, and Program Term. You will be required to accept these Course Terms of Use once you purchase the course; failure to do so within 14 days of course purchase will result in your being removed from the course. You will be given a refund in accordance with these terms.

Certification is not guaranteed.

TERMS OF USE

Please carefully read the following terms of use relating to your use of this course and participation in our community, and all the courses we offer. By enrolling in these courses and joining our community, you agree to these terms of use. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time.  By enrolling in these courses and joining our community, you agree to accept those changes, whether or not you have reviewed them or been notified of them.

OWNERS AND COLLECTORS OF INFORMATION

These terms of use apply to your use of all the courses and services owned, hosted, or operated by Author Accelerator, Inc. (collectively “we,” “us,” “our,” or the “Company”), including the Book Coach Certification Program (the “Program”) and any other course that we have owned or operated, do own and operate, or may own or operate in the future. Unless we say otherwise, all references to the courses in these terms of use include all such courses.

THE BOOK COACH CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

Your enrollment in Author Accelerator’s Book Coach Certification Course includes:

• Access to the entire certification course, including video lessons from Jennie Nash and a workbook that includes examples, Case Studies, readings, and links to additional resources.

• Monthly live coaching calls with the Certification Team – employees of Author Accelerator, or contractors, who have been certified in the program and trained to train other coaches.

• A private community where asynchronous coaching is available during regular business hours from the Certification Team and from Jennie Nash.

  Note that you are responsible for finding three practicum clients to work with you on the three practicums required for certification.

• One review of your Certification Application by the Certification Team to assess whether or not you meet the criteria we have established for certification.

• One “Revise and Resubmit” submission, should you be asked to revise any portion of your application. Additional Revise and Resubmit requests, if needed, will be billed separately. 

  Note that certification is not guaranteed.

PROGRAM TERM

Access to asynchronous coaching in the community and live monthly calls will be for nine months from the date of payment for the fiction and nonfiction courses, and twelve months from the date of payment for the memoir course. 

Applications for certification must be made within those time limits. Requests for a 3-month extension can be made for extenuating life circumstances, such as illness, injury, or major life changes. Requests will be granted at the discretion of the Certification Team and Jennie Nash. We reserve the right to deny extension requests

Access to the course material, including updates deemed as “regular updates” by Author Accelerator, will be for as long as Author Accelerator remains in business. “Significant updates” to the course may require an upgrade fee to access the new material. What constitutes a significant update will be determined at the discretion of the company.

PROGRAM FEE

At the time of enrollment, you will have the option of choosing between (a) the Pay in Full option or (b) the Payment Plan option (the “Program Fee”). You agree that you will pay the requisite Program Fee yin its entirety even if you choose not to or are unable to complete the Program.

You authorize the Company to automatically charge the credit card on file for any and all balances owed and you agree to keep this information current and up-to-date with the Company.

FAILURE TO MAKE TIMELY PAYMENTS

If any payment is insufficient or declined for any reason, the Company may remove you from the Program without liability or refund. Your removal from the Program due to your failure to pay the requisite Program Fee does not excuse you from your obligation to pay the amounts owed in full.

REFUND POLICY 

You understand and agree that there is a strict 14-day refund policy for this Program. Requests for cancellations and/or refunds will not be honored by the Company for any reason after that time period. We will refund the amount you have paid minus the payment fees for credit card processing.

TRANSFER POLICY

Requests to transfer from one program to another will only be considered within the 14-day Refund Period and are granted at the discretion of the Company. If a transfer is granted, and there is a price difference between the programs, the balance of that difference is due at the time of transfer. If a transfer is granted, the deadline for submission of certification materials will not be changed; it is fixed at the time of the first program payment.

ACCOUNT CREATION AND ACCESS

In order to use the Program, you may be required to provide information about yourself including your name, email address, username and password and other personal information. You agree that any registration information you provide will always be accurate, correct, and up to date. 

You agree that if you elect to use a different email address and/or username for payment than you used for the course enrollment, you will alert the Company about this decision. We cannot be responsible if you do not receive communications from us due to the use of multiple email addresses and usernames.

The Program may only be accessed by you – the customer on record with the Company. You agree that the Program, including any usernames or passwords, may only be used by you as permitted herein and may not be sold distributed, or accessed by others without the Company’s express written consent. 

OUR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

You agree that the Program contains proprietary information that is owned by the Company and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws. You will not use the Program in a manner that constitutes an infringement of the Company’s rights or that has not been authorized by the Company. The use of the Company’s Program, except as permitted herein, is strictly prohibited and infringes on the intellectual property rights of the Company and may subject you to civil and criminal penalties, including possible monetary damages.

Company grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the Program for your own personal use. Except as otherwise provided, you acknowledge and agree that you have no right to modify, edit, copy, sell, distribute, duplicate, lease, reproduce, create derivative works of, reverse engineer, alter, enhance or in any way exploit any of the Program in any manner or medium (including by email or other electronic means). You shall not remove any Company logos, copyright notice, trademark, byline, or author designation from any part of the Program.

PARTICIPANT’S CONDUCT

We have built an inclusive community based on the principles of integrity and compassion. As such, we will not tolerate poor behavior of any kind. 

You agree to conduct yourself in a dignified and professional manner in all our course and community spaces and will not engage in any activity that is detrimental to the health, safety, and welfare of other course and community participants. 

You acknowledge and agree that the Company reserves the right to remove any comment or post you make in Mighty Networks or elsewhere in our community that constitutes solicitation or harassment. 

You acknowledge and agree that the Company reserves the right to remove you from the course and the community, without reimbursement or liability, if the Company, in its sole discretion, determines that your behavior creates a disruption or hinders the Program or the enjoyment of the Program by other participants.

RELEASE

You agree that the Company may use any images, audio recordings, or video recordings of you obtained while enrolled in the Program. You waive any right to payment, royalties, or any other consideration for the use of such images, audio recordings, or video recordings. You waive the right to inspect or approve any product wherein your likeness appears. The Company is hereby held harmless and released and forever discharged from all claims, demands, and causes of action which you, your heirs, or representatives.

NO CONFIDENTIALITY

You understand that given the group format of this course and our community, the information you provide or share in the form of comments, discussions in course-related forums, coaching calls, live events, webcasts, or otherwise is not confidential.

RESTRICTIONS

The contents of our courses are protected by copyright and trademark laws and are the property of their owners. Author Accelerator is trademarked by Author Accelerator, Inc., and all information on the courses is copyrighted by Author Accelerator, Inc. Unless otherwise noted (SEE SECTION BELOW ON CERTIFIED COACHES), you may access and use the information and materials within the courses for your personal use. You may not change, modify, delete, display, transmit, adapt, exploit, or copy for distribution or sale any information, material, trademark, or copyright on the courses. You must obtain written permission from us or any other entity that owns intellectual property on the courses before you may publish, distribute, display, or commercially exploit any material from the courses. By using any course, you agree to abide by all copyright notices or other posted restrictions.

CERTIFICATION

The only exception to the above restrictions will be when a user has earned certification and become a licensed member of our community. User will be considered an Author Accelerator Certified Book Coach only upon official confirmation from Author Accelerator. Before receiving official confirmation, you may not publicly or privately employ the title or use any other language to imply the same. You may not use any Author Accelerator logo or brand materials, including the Author Accelerator Certification logo before receiving official confirmation from the certifying company of your earned certification. When you receive official confirmation, you will also be given the approved brand materials and language to use publicly and professionally, as outlined below. Additional information on how to apply for certification is included in the course.

• Certified coaches may use the Author Accelerator logo publicly and professionally, such as on their website. It must be accompanied by the following words:

As an Author Accelerator certified book coach, I am qualified to coach writers using Author Accelerator's strategy, methods, and materials, but I operate independently of Author Accelerator and am not affiliated with them.

• Certified coaches may use the provided worksheets, templates, and digital downloads of Jennie Nash’s Blueprint books in their private coaching business. You may not resell or distribute our worksheets or templates as your own. You must credit Author Accelerator any time you utilize one of our worksheets or templates with a client.

LINKS

These terms of use apply only to our courses, and not to the courses of any other companies or organizations, including those we link to. We do not maintain, create, endorse, or take any responsibility for the content, advertising, products, or other materials made available through any other company or organization. Under no circumstances will we be held responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any loss or damage that is caused or alleged to have been caused to you in connection with your use of any content, goods, or services available on any other site.

Our courses are intended to provide professional development for book coaches. Our goal is to help you learn the art and business of book coaching. Results are your responsibility.
